The spectacular 18 hole par 72 course at the Alhaurin Golf Resort is one of the best courses in the Malaga province. It was designed by golfing legend Severiano Ballesteros and allows players to use all the clubs in their golf bag, ensuring a great day of golf, where every hole presents a different challenge.
Made up of 5 par-fives, 5 par-threes and 8 par-fours, Alhaurin Golf is one of the best and most popular courses on the Costa del Sol and provides a balanced game for low and high handicaps alike.
The Alhaurin course is built amongst the naturally hilly terrain, making buggies a must, and features both long and tight fairways throughout, with water hazards and bunkers adding additional protection to the course.
As well as the 18 hole course, Alhaurin Golf has a 9 hole, par-three course that surrounds the practice area and is considered one of the best in Andalusia.
Located in Alhaurin el Grande, 30 minutes from Malaga – Costa del Sol Airport, 20 minutes inland from the coastal resort of Fuengirola and 25 minutes from Mijas Costa, Alhaurin Golf Resort offers some of the best views of the Costa del Sol, including views of the Sierra de Mijas mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.
One of the feature holes at the Alhaurin course is the par 5, 6th hole with its dog-leg right and a green that boasts some of the most breathtaking views you will find anywhere from a golf course.
Alhaurin Golf Hotel is located just three minutes from the golf course and can be accessed by the free shuttle service available.
The four-star hotel with its fantastic services has only 38 rooms and has been designed to guarantee guests will have a ‘complete and exclusive experience’.
Guests can take advantage of all the on-site facilities including a gym, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, football field and bike station.
During your stay, you will also be able to sample some gastronomic delights in the Mediterranean restaurant. A buffet-style breakfast is offered every morning and ‘a la carte’ lunches and dinners can be enjoyed with a great selection of wines.
As well as the restaurant, the hotel also has a cafeteria where you can enjoy soft drinks as well as hot beverages.
As you can see the hotel provides you with everything you need to help you enjoy your stay, while also enjoying a round or two of golf.
The Clubhouse is often the hub of the golf scene and this one is no different.
There is parking, Free Wi-Fi, showers, lockers and a restaurant as well as a well-stocked Pro Shop that has a wide, extensive range of top brand golfing equipment.
The restaurant, ‘Hoyo 46’, has a complete menu offering ‘Andalusian gastronomy with international touches’. It is open to both players and non-players, so why not stop off and enjoy a bite to eat on its impressive terrace.

From Marbella – Travelling on the A-7 coast road from Marbella in the directions of Malaga you will need to exit at the Parque Aquatico turn-off. This is just after the Fuengirola turn-off and after the Miramar shopping centre which will be on your left.
Now take the exit for Fuengirola/Coin and head inland on the MA7053.
After around 15 km you will reach the Alhaurin Golf Resort.
From Malaga and Airport – Take the A7 road along the coast. You will then pass Las Lagunas.
Just after Las Lagunas, you will need to exit at the Fuengirola/Coin turn off N208B and head inland via the MA7053 road towards the mountains towards Entrerríos/Alhaurín.
After around 15 km you will arrive at Alhaurin Golf Resort.
From Benalmadena Costa – Follow the N340 coast road until you reach the Fuengirola/Coin turn off on your right. Turn right and take the MA7053 inland towards the mountains and Alhaurin.
After 15 km, you will arrive at Alhaurin Golf.
