Coronavirus: An Update From Golf 4U Spain

In recent weeks, the vast majority of us have had our lives turned upside down by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

This has not only caused serious health implications for many people both in the UK and Spain, but also in nearly every other country around the world.

Travel restrictions

Due to the State of Alarm restrictions that were enforced on March 14 in Spain, travel into and out of Spain has now been suspended for anyone other than those who are normally resident or who have very good reason to be travelling.

This has, of course, meant that golf holidays to Spain have sadly had to be put on hold at least until the State of Alarm has been lifted and at which time we can all start travelling once again.

Nearly all hotels and golf courses have now been temporarily closed as a result of the restrictions.

Portugal also established restrictions on travel into and out of the country.

Business as usual

At Golf 4U Spain, we understand that you may have questions about any existing bookings and any plans you have on your future golf breaks including those in 2020 and those you wish to arrange for 2021.

During this time, it will be business as usual for the team at Golf 4U and we will be on hand to deal with any enquiries that you may have. So please feel free to call or email Stuart and the team with any assistance you require.

What will happen to my booking?

Many will be wondering what will happen if they have already booked a golf break in Spain with ourselves.

Instead of cancelling, many of our customers have opted to change their date of travel to the 2021 season. We are very flexible on this and for many, this can be the easiest option.

For those who wish to cancel their 2020 booking, all payments including deposits will be refunded in full. Sadly, this isn’t always the case with other golf tour operators..

Prices held for 2021

We know how any economic crisis can impact us all financially and with this in mind, we have chosen to keep our 2021 prices at the same as this year. This is regardless as to whether our hotel and course partners increase their prices or not.

We are determined to do all we can during these uncertain times to offer our golfers as much value as possible so they can keep coming to Spain and enjoy what is still one of the best-golfing experiences anywhere in the world.
