Golf Course Information
Designed by golfing legend Arnold Palmer and first opened in 2004, the Victoria course is located in Vilamoura in the Algarve.
With a par of 72 and measuring a total of 6,651 metres (from the Palmer tees), the Victoria course has played host to a number of major golf championships including the Portugal Masters every year since 2007 and the World Cup Championship in 2005.
The course features wide undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers and a number of water hazards to contend with, which are provided by the lakes on the course which also serve to help with the irrigation for the course.
The Victoria course is currently the longest course in Portugal, but don’t let that worry you. Regardless of your golfing ability and handicap, each hole has six tee positions available making the course ideal for both novice and experienced players.
The course has many great facilities available for you to enjoy during your golfing break including a clubhouse, bar and restaurant, golf shop, driving range and free WiFi.
The Victoria course is a real gem and appeared in a recent review that we ran on our blog of the Algarve’s best golf courses.
