Course Information

Guadalmina North and South

Located in San Pedro de Alcantara with its narrow streets packed with small shops, sidewalk cafes, and bars, the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina is just 19 minutes from the upmarket glitzy resort of Marbella with its many shops, bars, and restaurants and 43 minutes from Malaga โ€“ Costa del Sol Airport.

There are two courses at the Golf Club, Guadalmina South and Guadalmina North.

Guadalmina South is well known for being a real challenge even for the more experienced golfers.

Your driving will have to be good as the fairways are narrow and are well protected by mature native trees.

Guadalmina North is a little shorter and hillier than the South course and features more water hazards. You will need to make sure your drives are straight to avoid them.

History

Guadalmina South

The older of the two courses at the Guadalmina Golf Club, the South course was built in 1959.

The 18-hole, par 72 parkland course was designed by Javier Arana and measures 6,082 metres in length

In 2008 His Majesty Juan Carlos I King of Spain awarded Guadalmina with the Royal Appointment of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.

The club has hosted very important tournaments like the Spanish Championship in 1965, the qualifying school tournament for the European PGA in 1995 and 1996, and the PGA championship in 1998.

Guadalmina North

The second of the courses and opened in 1973, the Guadalmina North course is also an 18-hole course, with a Par of 72.

The parkland course, designed by Folco Nardi, is a little shorter than the south course, measuring a total of 5,600 metres from the white tees.

As well as the two 18-hole golf courses, the Guadalmina Golf Resort has a Par 3, nine-hole course.

Clubhouse

The clubhouse is home to a snack bar that serves sandwiches, baguettes, and burgers, as well as three-course meals and drinks and a restaurant a la carte that offers a vast menu that offers a choice of fish, meat, rice, wok, and pasta dishes, salads, and a daily menu.

Pro shop

The Pro-shop at Real Club de Golf Guadalmina stands in a separate building adjacent to the Club House, positioned near the putting green and the tee of hole 1 on the North course. It provides members and visitors with an extensive selection of products from renowned brands. The offerings include sports equipment such as bags and golf clubs, as well as clothing, footwear, and accessories.

As well as two amazing golf courses, the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina offers so much more, including:
