Course Information

Established in 1880 by a community of English residents in the Lisbon region, the Lisbon Sports Club Golf Course has a rich history. Its origins trace back to a modest 6-hole golf course in Algés by 1890, relocating to Alto da Ajuda in 1922. In 1964, the club found its current home in Casal de Carregueira.

Crafted by Hawtree & Sons, this 18-hole parkland golf course offers a quintessential golfing experience. Strategically positioned, it sits within a convenient 30-minute drive from central Lisbon, Cascais, and the airport.

Nestled amid hills and valleys, Lisbon Sports Club may seem relatively short, yet its natural terrain introduces unexpected challenges. Success on this course requires a combination of concentration and strategic thinking.

A meandering water ditch accompanies much of the course, while narrow fairways, bordered by majestic old trees and lush vegetation, seamlessly integrate with the natural surroundings.

Notably, the golf course remains untouched by real estate development, preserving a natural habitat that enchants golfers with picturesque landscapes.

Diversity defines each hole at Lisbon Sports Club, ensuring an ever-changing array of challenges for players.

The welcoming Lisbon Sports Club clubhouse features a restaurant, bar, and a panoramic veranda offering views of the surrounding woodland—an ideal setting to relax and relish the post-game moments.
