Nestled deep within the Ria Formosa nature reserve in Quinta do Lago, Pinheiros Altos stands as one of Europe’s premier golfing destinations, renowned for its success and prestige.
The centerpiece is a 27-hole championship course, presenting exhilarating challenges and diverse difficulty levels. Comprising three 9-hole groupings, the course provides multiple ways to play 18 sublime holes, accommodating golfers of various skill levels.
The 6,200 metre Pinheiros Altos course was designed by Ronald Fream and George Santana de Silva. Opened in 1992, the par 72 parkland course offers one of the most picturesque rounds you will ever encounter due to it being located just a stone’s throw away from the pristine Algarve beaches and the vast Atlantic Ocean.
Each of the nine holes; The Pines, The Corks, and The Olives are a par 36, all of which have their starting and finishing points close to the spectacular clubhouse.
Within the golfing world, the course is known for providing a mental challenge due to the well-placed hazards.

On the first floor of the clubhouse is the member’s lounge that has elevated views over the eighteenth hole and down to the lake.
