Located in Cascais on Portugal’s southern coast, the Quinta da Marinha course is the perfect challenge for golfers of all abilities.
All of the holes on the course are different with several iconic holes coming into play including the Par 4, 3rd which was used to promote golf in Portugal for many years, and the Par 5, 18th which features two large lakes just waiting to catch your wayward shots.
To shoot a good round at the Quinta da Marinha course you will have to make use of all of the clubs in your bag.
Designed by the legendary golf architect Robert Trent Jones Sr, the Quinta da Marinha course is stunning.
First opened to the public in 1984, the course is a Par 71, measuring 5,870 Metres in length. The course features elevated greens and tees along with a fair amount of water hazards and sand traps and it offers majestic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sintra Mountains,
The Lisbon Golf Coast area won in 2007 and 2016 IATGO Award – Best Golf Destination Europe.
The Quinta da Marinha Golf course has hosted several professional competitions over the years including the Ladies Masters in 1988, the PGA Seniors Championship and the Challenge Tour in 2007.
The clubhouse has the luxury of a large terrace that overlooks the 3rd hole, the perfect place to drink a well-deserved beer whilst discussing your game!
Playing golf can also build up an appetite, not a problem, as the Clubhouse offers a varied menu; cream of tomato soup with poached egg, salads, omelettes, pasta, grilled salmon, steaks, sandwiches, and burgers.
