Course Information

Real Club de Golf Sotogrande

The Golf Course of Real Club de Golf Sotogrande was designed by Robert Trent Jones and is considered to be the masterpiece of European golf courses. The course was the first course designed in Europe by the renowned architect.

Located close to the beach, west of the city of Sotogrande, the course is the oldest golf course in the Cadiz area of the Costa del Sol, opening in 1964.

The course measures 6,492 metres and is a par 72, offering long tees, wide fairways, and elevated greens that are softly moulded and very fast, making them the biggest challenge of the course.

A round of golf on the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande brings a balanced game experienced by past champions such as Severiano Ballesteros, Sergio Garcia, and Rory McIlroy, to name a few.

The course is just six minutes from the beautiful Sotogrande Marina with its shops and restaurants and 37 minutes from the wealthy marina of Puerto Banus.

Gibraltar, with its popular airport, shops, and eateries is only 31 minutes away, whilst Malaga โ€“ Costa del Sol Airport is also just over an hour away.

Sotogrande Golf is certainly a favourite with many of our golfers visiting the Costa del Sol.
