Situated just outside of the village of Carvoeiro on the Algarve lies the Vale da Pinta golf course.
A well laid out course, that is an interesting and challenging course to play.
Two holes that deserve a mention are the par 3 tenth, which has a large bunker defending the green against your shot, and the par 5 thirteenth which runs along a valley for some 541 metres.
The 18-hole, par 71 course opened in 1992 and is a part of the Pestana Group’s portfolio of golf courses in Portugal.
Set in a beautiful natural landscape and surrounded by rolling hills full of olive, carob and almond trees, the parkland course is a privilege for any golfer to play. One of the olive trees on the course is thought to be over 1,200 years old!
Designed by the famous course architect Ronald Fream, the 6,127 metre long course has hosted a number of championship competitions since it was first opened including the European Seniors Tour Qualifying final eight times.
The clubhouse at Vale da Pinta, is the perfect place to relax after a game. With elegant decor and sweeping views of the course, the clubhouse is home to first-class amenities.
With plenty of seating options, why not head to the fully stocked bar, grab a cold one and enjoy catching up with friends while enjoying the views on offer.
The restaurant has something for everyone, sandwiches, light bites/snacks, pasta, burgers, salads, pizza, omelettes, vegetarian menu and soups, you really are spoiled for choice!
