Located to the north of Portimão, the Alamos Golf Course boasts impressive views of the Serra de Monchique and surrounding lakes and farmland, the course is the perfect combination of challenging and tranquil.
Featuring relatively short rounds that require technical skills and greens that are smaller, but elaborate, players of all abilities will love the unique challenges the Alamos Golf Course provides.
The course’s main characteristics are deep bunkers and large greens meaning that a good putting game is important if you are to keep your score down on this course.
NAU Hotels & Resorts are home to three of Portugal’s most celebrated golf clubs, Alamos Golf being one of them. The par 71 course is relatively short at just 5,641 metres, but is still a real challenge for any golfer.
Designed by Russell Talley (European Golf Design) and built in 2006, the course’s terrain is composed of undulating small valleys, with the higher parts covered with bush and the golf course running through the wider valleys past two lakes.
The main character of the Alamos Golf Course is its large greens that are quite often raised up from the fairway and composed of several challenging levels. The greens therefore can be very demanding on a player’s putting skills.
The Alamos Golf Course shares its clubhouse with its sister course, The Morgado.
With its perfect location, superb architecture, spacious rooms, and wonderful views over the golf course, the clubhouse is the perfect place to meet up and talk about your game.
The clubhouse is where you will find the reception area, pro shop, changing rooms and restaurant and bar, which has a large terrace with amazing views over the golf course.
