The Quinta do Lago North course is one of three courses at the Quinta do Lago estate. The others being the South Course and Laranjal.
The North course is an excellent challenge for players of all abilities and favours players who can draw the ball well.
All of the holes on the North course have four tee positions and feature undulating greens, strategically placed bunkers, and a number of water hazards. You will need to drive the ball well on this course and have a good touch around the greens.

The par 72 course was originally designed by William Mitchell and was opened to the public in 1974.
In 2014, the parkland course, which measures 6,126 metres, was further developed by renowned golf course architect Beau Welling, along with Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley.
Innovative technology has revitalised all aspects of the course, from greens and tees to bunkers and irrigation systems. Each hole now offers four sets of tees, catering to players of varying skill levels. Golfers face challenges posed by undulating greens, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards.
To enhance playability, a low-cut Bermuda grass approach surrounds the greens, providing recovery shot options for all players. Additionally, seasonal rough grass and specimen tree planting have not only enhanced the course’s aesthetics but also its environmental impact. The renovation incorporates water recycling, solar energy, and the promotion of new ecosystems within grassy areas.
With a fresh, vibrant ambiance reflecting recent renovations, the North and South Clubhouses now offer a brighter, more spacious, and inviting atmosphere than ever before. Serving as a central hub for golfers at Quinta do Lago, the Clubhouses boast a newly revamped shop and an updated menu, including the addition of a Champions Breakfast option.
Catering to various tastes, the Quinta do Lago Clubhouses provide a diverse menu selection. The renowned ’19th Hole’ ambiance makes for an ideal stop-off following a rewarding morning on the fairways.
