Santa Clara Golf, Marbella

Designed by Enrique Canales Busquets, the 5,922 metre, 18 hole, par 71 golf course is one of the finest courses on the Costa del Sol.

Located just a few minutes from the centre of the popular resort of Marbella, with its many shops, bars, restaurants and clubs, Santa Clara Golf is a very popular choice for many.

A relatively short course by modern standards but a course that is still a fair test of golf for all levels and handicaps.

It is a technically challenging but straightforward course, with wide fairways, a few roughs and open greens without pronounced slope. The course is highlighted by the “Santa Clara Corner” that is formed by the 12th, 13th and 14th holes, “a perfect combination of 3, 4 and 5 pars” which require long and accurate shots.

The course has been designed with respect to the natural environment and native wildlife and provides a fantastic meeting place for golf enthusiasts.

Clubhouse

As with many courses, the clubhouse is the hub of activity with a restaurant for you to enjoy along with the well-stocked Pro shop.

The Restaurant, located on the first floor, serves authentic Mediterranean cuisine and has a distinct and charming atmosphere with a large terrace that overlooks the golf course with views of the Mediterranean sea in the background.

The restaurant can also cater for celebrations and cocktail parties in its large salon.

The Pro Shop, located on the ground floor, has everything you need to play golf. It sells big brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armor, Golfino, Ecco, Green Lamb and Rohnisch all at the best prices.

Golf Academy

Managed by prestigious golf professional David Guarch Rueda, the Santa Clara Golf Academy offers individual and group lessons to both beginners and experienced players.

David also organises golf clinics for children during the summer months.

The Driving Range

The driving range at Santa Clara is situated just a few yards from the first and tenth tees and stands out for its width.

It has two independent practice tees that have 15 places on each tee, giving you plenty of space to perfect your game.

You can also practice on real grass, artificial mats are not needed.
