Golf Course Information
The Ocean course at Vale do Lobo was first opened in 1985 and was the masterpiece of famous course designer Sir Henry Cotton.
The golf course was created from two original 9 hole courses and features gentle undulating fairways that run parallel to a nature reserve and offers some stunning views to the coastline and the Atlantic ocean beyond.
The course is a par 73 and measures 6137 metres in length. Unlike the neighbouring Royal course where you need to be consistently hitting straight shots, the Ocean course requires more shaping of your shots if you are to shoot a good score.
Some of the most popular holes on the Ocean course are the two par 4’s, 11th and 14th where you are presented with some of the best views of the Algarve coastline and the par 3 15th, which runs alongside the beach.
A beautiful course to play while enjoying your golf holiday in the Algarve!!
