Located just 20 minutes from Faro airport, in the heart of Vilamoura lies the “Grande Dame” of Algarve golf courses, Dom Pedro Old Course Golf Club in Portugal. This parkland-style course boasts gently undulating fairways that wind through mature pine forests. With relatively straightforward holes, especially at the beginning, it offers the ideal opportunity to kick off your round with ease.

The Old Course, is one of five courses at Dom Pedro Golf Club, the others being Laguna, Millennium, Pinhal, Victoria, and The Old Course. It was first opened in 1969, which makes it the second-oldest golf course on the Algarve.
This Frank Pennink-designed course is a little gem and one of the loveliest courses in which to play golf in Vilamoura and the Algarve. The 6,254 metre, par 73 course was redesigned in 1996 by Martin Hawtree, which served to elevate the overall quality of the course and at the same time retaining the existing layout.
The new clubhouse which was built in the late 90’s is where you can finish the day with a cool drink and a bite to eat while looking out over the 9th and 18th holes.
Located in the clubhouse of the Dom Pedro Old Course Golf Club, is the restaurant and snack bar, a great place to catch up with friends for an informal meal.
The English-style restaurant offers a serene atmosphere with stunning views of the golf course, particularly the putting green. Sit back and enjoy a variety of international and Portuguese dishes selected by the chef, including options for breakfast like the classic English breakfast, and a lunch menu featuring fish and meat dishes, salads, snacks, and sandwiches.
The Old Course doesn’t just offer you great golf and tasty food. Take advantage of the practice areas or pop into the pro shop and add some new pieces to your golf attire.
