One of two golf courses at La Hacienda Golf Resort (formerly Alcaidesa), the links course is a magnificent 18-hole/par-72 links course, the only one in Spain.
The course’s terrain is shaped by gentle slopes that descend towards the sea, culminating in an almost 2 km long beautiful beach that borders the majority of the course’s holes.
The area’s strong winds have the greatest impact on the difficulty of the course.

Inaugurated in 1992 and designed by Peter Allis and Clive Clark, the La Hacienda Links course offers the most amazing views over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar, and Africa.
In 2021, the golf course underwent a significant upgrade and renovation led by acclaimed American architect Kurtis Bowman, evolving into a modern and sustainable golf course.
The project included an extensive redesign of tees, green complexes, and bunkers, as well as the restructuring of several holes, resulting in the creation of one of the largest putting-surface areas in Spain. With its challenging layout, unique views, and notable improvements, the course now rightfully holds its place among the top courses in Europe.
Featuring wide fairways, double greens, strategically-placed bunkers, and gentle slopes descending towards the sea, the layout spans almost two kilometres of breathtaking coastline, with many holes bordering the beautiful beach.
Welcoming guests with breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean, La Hacienda’s new Clubhouse stands proudly on the highest point of the resort between the two golf courses, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
The clubhouse is a modern and elegant structure that houses the restaurant and coffee shop where you can sit back and enjoy a drink, along with local delicacies, whilst watching the finest sunrises in Andalusia, set against the backdrop of an infinite fountain cascading into the sea.
At La Hacienda Links Golf Resort, you’ll find all the resources to enhance your swing, putting stroke, and overall game. The resort boasts a 72-hole driving range, with half of it covered, providing the option to practice driving from grass tees. Additionally, there is an 18-hole practice putting green, two approach zones, and designated practice bunkers.
