Designed and completed in 1966 by renowned British golf course architect Sir Henry Cotton, the Penina Championship was the first course to be built in the Algarve region. The 6,273 metre, par 73 course is considered by many to be one of the finest golf courses in Portugal and offers a challenging round even for the most experienced golfers.

One of three courses at the Quinta do Lago Golf Resort, the Laranjal course compliments the North and South courses, with all three being among Europe’s best. Located 2 km east of the Ludo Valley in what was originally an orange grove, the course is surrounded by pine, orange, and cork trees as well as several lakes.

The Quinta do Lago North course is one of three courses at the Quinta do Lago estate. The others being the South Course and Laranjal. The North course is an excellent challenge for players of all abilities and favours players who can draw the ball well.

Part of the Quinta do Lago estate, the South Course is one of three courses, the others being the North course and Laranjal. The course is a good challenge for golfers of all abilities with the front 9 holes favouring a draw from the tee and the back nine a fade. You will need to be consistent off of the tee and drive well to hit the greens in regulation.
